JOUVENCEAUX-SPORTINIA CHAIRLIFT
The Olympic four-seat chairlift which links Jouvenceaux with Sportinia area – Sauze d’Oulx’s slopes center – is just 250 mt walk from the apartments. At its start there is a ski slope for beginners and for bobsleighing and a nice bar/restaurant.
To go back home you can either use the chairlift or skiing down the “Gran Pista” slope, for an exciting and long run in the middle of the forest.
You can reach Sauze d’Oulx city center and the other two main chairlifts, Clotes and Prariond, by car or by the free public bus. It runs every day 8.30-5.30 p.m and the bus stop is just in front of our house.
THE “VIA LATTEA” SKI RESORT
The Via lattea offers a wide choice of skiing opportunities: this International skiing area includes Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana, Pragelato, Claviere as well as the French Montgenèvre.
And now you can reach the skiing area courses also from Pragelato thanks to the cableway Pattemouche – Anfiteatro. It offers more that 163 skiing connected courses (41 blue, 92 red and 30 black slopes), and 69 ski-lifting facilities, whose altitude ranges from 1380 metres in Cesana to 2800 metres on top of the Motta course. More than 60% of courses scattered about the different skiing resorts of the area are covered by the planned snowmaking system net.
The skiing area denotes huge spaces, sunny snowy expanses, panoramic runs that connect ancient and traditional villages with modern towns that provide all comforts and entertainment. The expanse and variety of this skiing area can satisfy both the most demanding skiers, thanks to the long and difficult courses, and the beginners.
The Vialattea resorts are also known for the excellent food. In fact there are more than 30 high altitude refuges to back up the skiers with their dainties. You can remain on the courses all day long without having to forgo the pleasure of a well-deserved break and enjoy one of our traditional dishes.
