JOUVENCEAUX
Sauze d’Oulx (1,509 metres) lies in the Susa Valley in Piedmont, in the Olympic Mountains of the XX Winter Olympic Games 2006.
It is surrounded by Triplex, Bourget and Genevris mountains and it is named “the balcony of the Alps” due to its stunning geographical position. Sauze d’Oulx is enriched by the charm of its Alpine tradition which you can feel in Jouvenceaux, the old small village which is one kilometre from Sauze.
Jouvenceaux is connected to the ski slopes and to the Alpi Bike Resort ( in the summer time) by the Olympic four- seater chairlift which reaches Sportina in just eight minutes. During the summer time there are many trails and paths in Jouvenceaux on which you can relax and admire the beauty of the nature around you. In winter, you can walk the same trails with the “ciaspole”, special snow shoes.
If you love culture there is the beautiful chapel of Saint Antony Abbot with precious frescos which date back to the end of the XV century and which are attributed to the school of the Serra brothers.
